Vian wrestlers go 2-3 in Class 3A District Duals; Wolverine matman gets five pins on the day

TULSA — The Vian Wolverines went 2-3 in Tuesday’s Class 3A District Duals at Cascia Hall High School.

The Wolverines defeated Heavener 39-12 and Wyandotte 39-30, but lost to host Cascia Hall 48-24, Warner 45-24 and Oklahoma Christian School 30-27.

The top highlight on the day was 132-pounder Gunner Richey won all five of his matches by pinfall.

Due to the weather conditions last weekend, the Vian wrestlers did not participate in last weekend’s Catoosa Tournament.
