Two Vian wrestlers place at Paul Post Tournament; Gore sees five wrestlers compete

Two Vian Wolverines wrestlers placed at last weekend’s Paul Post Tournament, which took place Friday and Saturday at Sallisaw High School’s Paul Post Field House.

Vian’s Gunner Richey was fourth at 144 pound, while teammate Clay Clark was sixth at heavyweight.

The Gore Pirates had four participants, but they just missed out on placing.The Pirates were represented by Devon Mannon (157 pounds), Bladin McCartney (175), Antonio Parker (215) and Kaydin Mc-Cartney (heavyweight).

The Vian and Gore matmen are slated to wrestle in this weekend’s Maverick Conference Tournament in Poteau.
