Several Vian Wrestling Club members placed in the Salina Wrestling Club King of the Ring Tournament on Jan. 13, while one other member, Joely Hunt, wrestled at the Ponca City Tournament.
Hunt won the title at 88 pounds in the girls age 10-and-younger division as she won all four of her matches by pinfall and was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament.
At the Salina Wrestling Club King of the Ring Tournament, nine members won titles.
Cara Prock won the title at 98 pounds in the girls age 12-and-younger division. She went 5-0 with four wins by pinfall and the other win coming by a technical fall. She was named an Outstanding Wrestler.
Rocky Ford also was named an Outstanding Wrestler as he won the 100-pound title in the open age 10-andyounger division. He also went 5-0 with four pinfall wins and a technical fall victory.
Lex Branham (131 pounds, open age 10-and-younger division), Bronc Sumpter (90, open age 10-andyounger), Daxton Stewart (67, open age 10-and-younger), Jestin Rosson (64, open age 10-and-younger), Madalynn Turman (75, girls age 8-and-younger) and Kody Perry (90, novice age 10-andyounger) also were crowned champions.
Caden Ryals won the 100-pound title in the novice age 12-andyounger division and was runner-up at 100 pounds in the open age 12-and-younger division.
Creede Prier (73 pounds, open age 10-and-younger di-vision) and Thomas Sandlin (52, age 6-andyounger) placed second.
Axl Branham (120 pounds, open age 12-and-younger division), Luke Sandlin (49, age 6-and-younger) and Laken Pack (76, novice age 10-and-younger) were third, while Asher Stewart (43, age 6-andyounger) and Caitlin Prock (83, girls age 8-and-younger) were fourth.
