Webbers Falls Powerlifting team wins small school title at Hilldale Invitational; three Gore lifters place

MUSKOGEE — The Webbers Falls Warriors powerlifting team won the small school title at Friday’s Hilldale Invitational.

All total, the Warriors had six lifters place in the top five, with three champions.

Maddux Shelby (198 pounds), Zane Nolan (157) and Gunner Carey (123) all won their respective weight classes’ titles.

Spencer Thao was rimmer-up at 242 pounds, Aiden Turley was fourth at 220 and Hayden Stephens was fifth at 275.

Three Gore Pirates powerlifters placed at the meet. Drake Cowart was first in his weight class, T.J. Abercrombie was second in his division and Chester Abercrombie was third in his weight class.
