Darryl Phillips, 85, died on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024. He was born on Jan. 10, 1939.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services. He spent most of his life in technology and was awarded three U.S. patents. He owned and operated The Airsport Corp in Sallisaw for 18 years, where they designed aircraft instruments sold around the world.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of the home; one daughter, Patti Phillips and Bob Alexander of Piedmont; one son, Donald and Kimberley Phillips of Mounds; one sister, Marilyn Johnson of Wichita, Kan.; step-son, Mark and Lynn Speedy of Ocala, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one step great-grandson; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Suzanne Phillips; two daughters, Terry King and Debbie Marshall; and step-son, Jim Speedy.
