Funeral services for Jerry Earl “Jake” Taylor, 79, of Muldrow, were held at 12 noon on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, at First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow.
Burial was at 1 p.m. at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Taylor was born on July 28, 1944, in Marble City to Della Mae (Caseboldt) Taylor and Leonard Melton Taylor. He died on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, in Sallisaw.
He was married to Brenda England in Stilwell. He was a construction worker, heavy equipment operator and a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors are his wife, Brenda Taylor of the home; three children, Tristan Taylor and Kim of Greenwood, Ark., Jerri Sharp and Gary of Muldrow and Kelly Robertson and Randy of Muldrow; five grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Wylie and Jack of Okmulgee and Betty Ward of Vian; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Faye Bush, Lorene Taylor and Geneva Rogers; and six brothers, Sam, Frank, Clarence, Ed, Dick and Elbert Taylor.
Pallbearers were Devon Taylor, Zach Sharp, Garrett Sharp, Dakota Gann, Ryder Robertson and Ethan Ward.
