Webbers Falls, Gore powerlifters place at Checotah Invitational

CHECOTAH — Several Webbers Falls and Gore powerlifters placed at last weekend’s Checotah invitational.

For the Warriors, they had a trio of placers. Gunner Carey was the champion at 123 pounds, while Maddux Shelby (198 pounds) and Zane Nolan (168) were runners-up.

While the Pirates did not have any high school division powerlifters place, they did have several junior high powerlifters who did.

Five JH Pirates brought home gold medals — Devon Mannon, Cole Ralston, Jaxon Denton, Jayden Gates and Treydan Daugherty — while Luke Wisdom, T.J. Abercrombie and Seth Current were runners- up.
