Season comes to an end for Webbers Falls girls

CAMERON — The 2023-24 high school basketball season concluded on a down note for the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors as they lost 25-21 to the Crowder Demonettes on Thursday afternoon in the Class A Regional Tournament consolation quarterfinals.

The Lady Warriors end the season at 14-10.

The Lady Warriors led 9-3 after a quarter and 14-8 at halftime, but the Demonettes outscored them 10-2 in the third quarter to take a 18-16 lead into the final period, in which Crowder outscored Webbers Falls 7-5 to complete the comefrom- behind win.

In defeat, Bridgette Baer led Webbers Falls with eight points, followed by Teralynn Colston and Abby Pense with six points each and Laina Colston with a free throw.
