Graveside services for Dorothy D. (Wilson) Taylor, 94, of Sallisaw, were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Taylor was born on May 15, 1929, in Vian, to Wilma (Cawhorn) Wilson and Jim Wilson. She died on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, in Vian.
She was married to Cass T. Taylor on Aug. 6, 1949, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 2014.
Mrs. Taylor graduated from Vian and received her bachelor’s degree from NSU. She worked as a typist, beautician, phone operator for Southwestern Bell and Holt-Krock Clinic, and later as a special education teacher.
Survivors are a daughter, Carolyn J. Taylor of Sallisaw; two sons, Tommy D. Taylor and Janice of Sallisaw and Rodger Berggren and Rhnea of Amarillo, Tex.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sue Isham and Freda Owens; and an infant sister, Carolyn J. Taylor.
