Vian senior wrestler finishes career with third-place finish at state

OKLAHOMA CITY — Vian Lady Wolverines senior 135-pound wrestler Avery Richey ended her high school wrestling career with a third place finish at last weekend’s Class 5A State Tournament, which took place Thursday through Saturday at Jim Norick State Fair Arena.

The other two Vian state-wrestling qualifiers, Lady Wolverine 125-pounder Carissa Prock in the Class 5A State Tournament and Wolverine 175-pounder Tristan Wiley in the Class 3A State Tournament, failed to place.
