Graveside services for James “Jimmy” Brown, 74, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Brown was born on Dec. 17, 2024, in Decatur, Ark., to Leo Bennett Brown and Irene M. (Reed) Brown. He died on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, in Muldrow.
He was a hair stylist and an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad.
He married Paula Harrell on June 14, 1978, in Las Vegas.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Brown of the home; five children, Jamie Brown of Deland, Fla., Gerri and Jason Fieldgrove of Vian, Jack and Lisa Brown of Muskogee, Melinda and Kelly Lehnick of Muldrow and Brandt and Alex Brown of Muldrow; one brother, Ron Brown of Grand Junction, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Peggy Brown.
