Webbers Falls Warriors blank Bokoshe in baseball season opener behind no-hitter

BOKOSHE — The Webbers Falls Warriors opened the 2024 baseball season in fine fashion Thursday afternoon with a 12-0 rout of the host Bokoshe Tigers.

The Warriors (1-0) scored four runs in each of the first three innings to put the game into run-rule status.

For the contest, Elliott Kunkel was 2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored and a run batted in, while Luke Pierce doubled with two RBIs.

Stryker Chappell (1-0) got the win as he threw a three-inning no-hitter, fanning six batters in the process.
