TONKAWA — Former Vian softball player Greenlee Wells and the Eastern Oklahoma State College Lady Mountaineers got a road sweep over Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Thursday by scores of 10-7 and 10-7.
However, Saturday’s home twinbill against Fort Scott (Kan.) Community College in Wilburton was rained out and rescheduled for 1 p.m. March 23.
In Thursday afternoon’s Game 1 win over NOC-Tonkawa, Wells was 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs batted in and two runs scored.
In Thursday afternoon’s Game 2 victory over NOC-Tonkawa, Wells was 2-for-3 with two homers, three RBIs and three runs scored.
Through 20 games, Wells is hitting .508 with six doubles, 14 homers, 34 RBIs and 28 runs scored.
After Tuesday’s home doubleheader against archrival Carl Albert State College in Wilburton, the Lady Mountaineers (12-8) will entertain Northeastern Oklahoma A&M for a 2 p.m. Thursday twinbill, then visit NOC-Enid for a 2 p.m. road doubleheader on Saturday in Enid.
