Funeral services for Lou Ellen Key Cooper, 74, were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services in Sallisaw.
Burial was in Rocky Point Cemetery at Sallisaw, under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services, Inc., Sallisaw.
Mrs. Cooper was born on Jan. 22, 1950, in Cedarville, Ark., to Claude Allen Key and Vola Mae (Carter) Key. She died on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
She was married to Frankie Lee Cooper Sr., on Dec. 22, 1966.
She worked most of her life as a lab technician at Hudson Foods in Stilwell and was of the Baptist faith. She always shared the gospel with others and even started a church. She loved photographs, singing, Little Debbie snack cakes, sunshine, yellow roses and honeysuckle.
Survivors are four children, Frankie Cooper, Jr. and wife Michelle, JoAnna Easter and husband John, Scotty Cooper and LuWella Harris and husband Chad; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jackie Price, Vicki Harlin and Mary Lou Stewart; one brother, Jimmy Key; and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Jennifer Cooper; granddaughter, Aubree Harris; and siblings, Lea Lovejoy, Billy Key, Danny Key, Bobby Key and Betty Skinner.
Pallbearers were Jeramy Cooper, Jesse Cooper, Christian Cooper, Trey Cooper, Shuford Barker and Shane Miller.
Honorary pallbearers were Kaleb Harris, Dakota Green, Cody Henson and Brent Hendricks.
