Former Vian Lady Wolverine Greenlee Wells helped her Eastern Oklahoma State College softball team to a 4-0 mark last week as the Lady Mountaineers swept Thursday’s road doubleheader against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M by scores of 7-3 and 11-9, then capped the week with a home sweep against Northern Oklahoma College-Enid by scores of 9-0 and 8-7 in nine innings.
The Lady Mountaineers (24-12) had their April 9 road twinbill against archrival Carl Albert State College in Poteau rained out, which will be made up at 2 p.m. Monday in Poteau.
Against NEO, Wells doubled in Game 1, while doubling twice with two runs batted in and a run scored in Game 2.
In the opener against NOC-Enid, Wells doubled twice with two RBIs and two runs scored, while homering with three RBIs in the nightcap.
Through 36 games, Wells is batting .469 with 12 doubles, 19 homers, 58 RBIs and 42 runs scored.
EOSC’sTuesdayhome doubleheader against the Southern Nazarene University junior varsity was canceled, so the Lady Mountaineers will return to action at 2 p.m. Thursday at home against NOC-Tonkawa, followed by a 2 p.m. home twinbill the following Tuesday against NEO.
