ICorinthians 15:45 “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.”
God created the heavens and the earth. When scientists finally get a clue they will admit that all nature works in harmony that could not exist unless it was designed that way. The planets in their rotation around the sun and our own planet exactly the right distance from the sun, etc. all prove they not ,haPPen ^ happenstance. It is mathematically impossible tor an those heavenly bodies to be rounded so they could spin right without P someone designing them.
Church God also made man in His image. Man is a triune being just as God is a Triune being. God has no beginning and no end and now man who has a beginning has no end because he was created “a living soul”.
There was an explorer that history tells us searched for the Fountain of Youth. The legend became particularly prominent in the 16th century, when it became associated with the Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de León, the first Governor of Puerto Rico. Ponce de León was supposedly searching for the Fountain of Youth when he traveled to Florida in 1513. Legend has it that Native Americans told Ponce de León that the Fountain of Youth was in Bimini.
It is funny that a man with “a living soul” looked for something he already had. All men have a living soul, but the problem is where that soul is going to spend eternity. God tells us that all souls belong to Him and are subject to the same rules for all men.
Ezekiel 18:4 “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
So if all souls that sin die, is there a solution so that they might live? Of course! A God so meticulous in His design of the heavens and earth, the designer of man with his free will, would need to provide a solution to the sin problem of His creation. Paul clearly states: Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
John 3:18 “He that believeth on him shall not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
Clearly there is a method of obtaining a good eternal life instead of an eternal punishment for sin. Again, God created man with a free will, allowing him to chose his own destiny. Man can believe on Jesus Christ and be saved from punishment or reject Jesus Christ and spend eternity with all the other condemned souls.
John 3:19 “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
You see, mans nature is to enjoy sin and indeed the Bible tells us that sin is pleasurable for a season (Hebrews 11:25), but there is always looming over the sinners head the fact that Judgment Will Come and the length of life is uncertain. Now let me share an inconvenient truth from Scripture: ljohn 3:8 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
A lot of deluded people revel in fact that they are a “child of the devil”. They revel in sinning. They only seek pleasure many times at the expense of others. Well. The Bible tells us that our lives on earth are short. It tells us that judgment is coming. Truthfully, comparing eternity to even 100 years is a very, very small period of time. And many people, even some religions, believe when you are dead all life and thought ceases, but they are mistaken or better yet lied to by the devil and his emissaries.
John 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
Think about this, no, I am serious…think hard about this. John 8:32-34 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abrahams seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.”
Consider this parable of the rich man and Lazarus as well: Luke 16:23-25 “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.”
The man who lived for only pleasure was in a place of torment. The word torment can only be translated as torment. Many people argue about the rendering of the word hell, but in truth you can call that place anything you want and it will still be a place of torment. Psalms 9:17 “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” The Bible calls it hell and I just cant find a good reason to angue with the Word of God because I don’t like the term hell.
Revelation 20:10 “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
Revelation 20:12-15 “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
OK, it is crunch time.. .what are you going to do with the truth of the Word of God? Come humbly, admitting you are a sinner and asking for salvation or are you going to ignore this warning and wake up in torment at your death? It is totally up to you.
