District 2 County Commissioner Beau Burlison said shortly after 8 a.m. this Wednesday (April 24) Sequoyah County Road District #2 will be closing both lanes of Highway 17 (S. 4620 Rd) between Badger Lee Road (E. 1050 Rd.) and McCoy Ford Road (E. 1050 Rd.) to replace a culvert. Burlison said the closure is anticipated to last most the day; however, it is expected to be opened for travel later in the afternoon. “We apologize for any inconveniences. Expect delays and plan accordingly,” Burlison said. “Posted detours will be along McCoy Ford Road, Hwy. 59 and Badger Lee Road.”
