WILBURTON — Former Vian Lady Wolverine softball player Greenlee Wells and the Eastern Oklahoma State College Lady Mountaineers swept a home doubleheader from Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Saturday by scores of 4-1 and 10-0 after they had their home twinbill against the Southern Nazarene University junior varsity canceled on April 16.
In the opener, Wells was 2-for-3 with two home runs and four runs batted in, while she was hitless in one at-bat in the nightcap.
Through 38 games, Wells is batting .470 with 12 doubles, 21 homers, 62 RBIs and 44 runs scored.
The Lady Mountain-eers (26-12) were slated to face Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in a home doubleheader on Tuesday, then play in three straight road twinbills — at 2 p.m. Thursday against Connors State College in Warner, at 2 p.m. Saturday against Rose State College in Midwest City and at 2 p.m. Monday against archrival Carl Albert State College in Poteau.
