Funeral services for Frank Crowson, 56, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Dwight Mission Cemetery in Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Crowson was born on July 18, 1967, in Sallisaw, to Nada Pearl (Cupp) Crowson and Haskell Robert Crowson. He died on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He was a rancher and animal lover, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was very artistic. He was President of the Sallisaw Child Welfare Advisory Committee and volunteered at the Methodist Boys Ranch.
Survivors are two daughters, Ashley Risenhoover and Johnny and Brianna Emerson and Josh, all of Sallisaw; three grandchildren; one brother, Woody Crowson and Evelyn of Oolagah; five sisters, Pearline Snow and John of Monet, Mo., Cris Williams and Jimmy of Sallisaw, Gale Flood and Pete of Lakeland, Fla., Pauline Horn and Monte of Sallisaw, and Jenny Lucas and David of Gatlin, Tenn.; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Eugene Smith, Robert Crowson, Jack Crowson and Dale Crowson; and one sister, Wanda Matevia.
Active pallbearers were Travis Crowson, Jimmy Crowson, Aaron Matevia, Tim Gann, Daniel Honeycutt and Dustin Crowson.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Crowson, Bryan Lucas, Thad Horn, Monte Horn, Bill Honeycutt and Danny Honeycutt.
