Webbers Falls’ Board of Trustees convened for a special meeting on June 14 .
The less than 30-minute meeting began with a public hearing on the proposed budget for 2024-25, drawing community members and officials to voice their perspectives on the financial roadmap for the upcoming year.
Following the hearing, trustees swiftly approved Resolution No. 06-14-24-01, solidifying the budget with unanimous support. Trustees next deliberated and approved a final pay application of $59,999.90 to S3 Construction LLC for their work on the Wastewater Lagoon Project. Originally billed at $59,999, the additional .90 cents required board approval due to funding regulations from the Department of Commerce.
Trustees then unanimously ratified the agreement for the Webbers Falls Schools Resource Officer for the 2024-25 academic year.
Later in the session, Trustees entered into an Executive Session to discuss personnel matters, focusing on the employment status of Derrick Fieldgrove. The 5-minute session resulted in no actionable decisions regarding Fieldgrove.
In a second special meeting on June 26, the trustees voted to approve a K9 lease agreement between the town’s police department and Curtis Elkins for K9 Duke.
