The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has announced that Andrea D. Winsett, 34, of Park Hill, has been sentenced to 24 months imprisonment for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
The charge arose from an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Cherokee County Sheriff ’s Office.
On February 6, 2024, Winsett pleaded guilty to the drug distribution charge. According to investigators, on March 7, 2023, Winsett was arrested for driving under the influence and booked into the Cherokee County Jail.
During the booking process, Winsett was found in possession of 14.75 grams of actual methamphetamine that she intended to distribute.
Winsett will remain in the custody of U.S. Marshals pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve a non-paroleable sentence of incarceration.
