Psalms 53:2 “God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.”
Truly, if God looked down today what would be see? Can you imagine the world as God sees it? God gave Israel specific rules of conduct. They were the rules of living among other people. They were given so that Israel did not soil itself with the mistakes of the world around them. They were to be different from others because God of Creation was their God. Other nations had gods, but the scripture tells us they were simply gold, silver, stone or wood. They could not effect the lives of men in any way for it was only the priests that made up the rules of worship and life for the false gods.
You see, God the Father speaks to His children in an audible voice over 2,000 times in the Old Testament alone. Yet, where are the recorded instances where other gods having spoken? Mythology tells some fanciful tales of gods. Our movie industry gives these myths life. Even cartoons for children contain these myths. Nobody cares about them. Some even worship them. Thor is a huge box office moneymaker.
Now lets mention the name of the real God and see what happens in the world. OH, my! What a noise of protests by anyone and everyone! Let me repeat our first verse: Psalms 53:2 “God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.”
What are your thoughts now? Although the scriptures given by God are used in almost every constitution in the world to preserve the life of others (ie: murder) people still fly into a tizzy at the mention of God Almighty who created life on the earth.
Preacher! How can you prove that! OK, let me ask you a similar question. Can you prove all that gobbly-gook that you believe about evolution? No, you can’t. That is why it is still called the Theory of Evolution. A theory is an unproven thought. Let’s let a dictionary written at the time of Darwin explain it to you. “A theory – is speculation; a doctrine or scheme of things, which terminates in speculation or contemplation, without a view to practice. It is here taken in an unfavorable sense, as implying something visionary.” Websters 1828 Dictionary Albert Einstein: His Theory of Relativity from which quite a bit of conjecture followed, but this Theory of Relativity gave us time, space, and matter.
In my defense of the scriptures, everything has three absolutes: time, matter and space. Let’s analyze the first scripture in the Bible: Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
In the beginning – time. God created – matter. The heavens and the earth – space. I heard a man quite recently on YouTube tell that time, space and matter had to come into existence at the same time. If you created matter first, where would you put it and when would you put it?
And my question about the Big Bang Theory is where did that tightly compressed bit of matter that exploded come from? Is it easier to say that matter is self-existent or to believe that God is self-existent?
Please notice that in pure science facts are determined in only two ways. First, the fact has to be observed or second, it must be replicated. Do you notice sometime similar about everything that has to do with evolution? It is the Theory of Evolution. It is the Theory of the Big Bang. It is the theory that man came from apes or some bit of slime from the bottom of some puddle of impure water.
In my belief, God explains all that for me and it is recorded that He spoke to mankind. Is it easier for you to believe all that stuff about evolution? If it is, you have a lot of faith in theories. Faith is the basis for religion, you know. So it seems like you have created the religion of Evolution. The way you argue so vehemently tells me you are quite passionate about your belief, just like I am about the Word of God and what I believe the about the truth it contains. Now let’s go back to our verse: Psalms 53:2 “God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.”
I am pretty sure that He sees very few in number. . .just saying.
