Services for Whitney Marie Renee Medearis, 38, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug 8, 2024, at Greater New Bethel Church in Sallisaw with Rev. Jones officiating.

Whitney was born on Jan. 28, 1986, in Sallisaw to Colleen Leann Medearis. She died on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in Sallisaw.

She worked as a cook for several restaurants owned by Frances Medearis. She was a 2004 Sallisaw High School graduate. She also received several college degrees.

Survivors are her mother, Colleen Medearis; and other family members and friends.
