Mrs. Scott was born on Feb. 2, 1945, in Tahlequah, to Eldee Miller Yahola. She died on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024.
She attended Vian High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball. She was employed for 39 years as a laundry tech at Vian Nursing Home, and enjoyed shopping with her daughters and sisters.
She was married to Claude Scott Jr. on April 18, 1962, in Sallisaw.
Survivors are her husband, Claude “Dink” Scott Jr. of the home; children, Paula and Harrison Kert Kyle of Roanoke, Va., Dink Scott of Vian, Sandra and Mike Spencer of Vian, and David and Marsha Scott of Sallisaw; three grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; siblings, Raymond and Carol Yahola, Patty and the late Lawrence Posey and DeeDee and Bo McCoy; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and grandparents, William and Hettie Miller.
Pallbearers were Tyler Spencer, Hunter Spencer, Joshua Scott, Harrison Kert Kyle, Jackie Calcote, Alex Yahola and Marcus Yahola.
Celebration of life service for Dora Frances Scott, 79, of Vian, was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Forever Memories Funeral Services with Pastor Jimmy Hunt and Rev. Patty Posey officiating.
Burial followed at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Forever
