Walters. She died on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She was married to Willard Wilson on Oct. 2, 1957, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2015.
She was a homemaker and home health provider, and member of the West Side Church of Christ in Vian. She was a proud soldier’s wife while Willard served in the U.S. Army for 21 years.
Survivors are two daughters, Shawna Wilson-Moore of Vian and Deborah Wilson-Taylor and Ted of Sallisaw; one son, Charles Blaine Wilson and Shawna of Vian; six grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Dolly Poteete and Ruby Pigeon, both of Vian; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Patsy West and Brenda Stem; and five brothers, James, Edward, Donald, Johnny and Melvin Walters.
Pallbearers were Andrew Moore, Tyler Moore, Justin Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Daniel Skaggs and Donald Wayne Tramell.
Graveside services for Dorothy Faye (Walters) Wilson, 85, of Vian were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
