Central Lady Tigers cross country team fourth at Henryetta Invitational; WF runner ninth

HENRYETTA — The Central Lady Tigers cross country team finished fourth in the team standings at Saturday’s Henryetta Invitational. Their scored 69 points.

Paris Campbell was the fastest Lady Tiger as she placed 12th (15:22.6), followed by Scarlett Harrison in 15th place (15:38.96), Cambree Bair in 21st place (16:22.06), Xhayla Mosby in 36th place (19:31.09) and Gracie Thompson in 40th place (20:19.2).

Webbers Falls Lady Warrior Cheyanne Herrier was 10th (15:00.13). As for other Lady Warriors, Peyton Shanks was 41st (20:45.27), Katie Frazier was 44th (21:30.61) and Emily Coatney was 45th (22:14.23).

Webbers Falls Warrior Joseph Moore was 42nd (28:17.04) in the high school boys’ race.

Webbers Falls had one runner in the junior high boys’ race, Chase Kunkel, who was 89th (8:03.09). Fellow Lady Warrior Madalyn Belknap was 75th (8:33.62) in the junior high girls’ race.

The Warriors had three runners hit the course in the elementary school boys’ race. Kacen Shamblin was 40th (8:12.07), Keedan Shamblin was 52nd (8:34.19) and Mason Coatney was 93rd (12:35.39).

The Lady Warriors also had three runners in the elementary school girls’ race as Kaiyah Scruggs was 25th (7:59.97), Kylie Shamblin was 56th (9:07.42) and Evie Ogg was 76th (10:37.86).

After running in the Inola Invitational on Tuesday, the Webbers Falls runners will then hit the course at 9 a.m. Saturday at the North Rock Creek Invitational near Shawnee.

The Central runners will be idle until the Muldrow Invitational, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 19.
