The Central Lady Tigers junior high softball team ended up being co-champions of the Checotah Festival, which took place Aug. 2931. The Lady Tigers and the Poteau Lady Pirates were to have played in the title game on Aug. 31, but it was rained out. So, the tournament committee decided to make both teams co-champions.
