BRAGGS — Three local runners made the top 10 at Friday’s Camp Gruber Invitational.
Webber Falls Lady Warrior Cheyanne Herrier was third (15:20), Gore’s Rayleigh Moore was seventh (16:31) and Gore’s Amelia White was eighth (16:38).
Two other girls ran the two-mile race. Gore’s Gracie Bruce was 31st (21:49), while Webbers Falls’ Emily Coatney was 36th (24:58).
Webbers Falls Warrior Joseph Moore ran in the boys 5K run and placed 81st (28:36).
In the junior high boys’ two-mile run, Gore’s Blake Frye was 40th (15:14), Gore’s Bryson Franco was 44th (15:33), Gore’s Wyatt Chitty was 49th (15:44) and Webbers Falls’ Chase Kunkel was 95th (18:58).
Several locals ran in the junior high girls’ twomile run. Gore’s Taylor Kinion was 60th (18:44), with teammate Ashlynn Munson right behind her in 61st (18:44). Gore’s Annika Pruitt was 86th (20:46), Gore’s Dakota Wolf was 92nd and Webbers Falls’ Madalyn Belknap was 99th (22:52).
The Gore runners will be idle until the Muskogee Invitational, which will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday.
After running in the Inola Invitational on Tuesday, the Webbers Falls runners will then hit the course at 9 a.m. Saturday at the North Rock Creek Invitational near Shawnee.
