Gore’s 22nd annual cruise night has been scheduled for Saturday, September 21, in downtown Gore. Known as one of Oklahoma’s biggest, baddest 2-lane cruise events, over $10,000 in cash/prizes will be given away throughout the day.
The festivities will start at 10 a.m. with a free poker run beginning at 313 Steve Owens Road, which is being sponsored by Sequoyah Fuels and hosted by the Lower Illinois Cherokee Connection. All donations will support the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Registration begins at 9 a.m., with participants looping Lake Tenkiller and ending the run at 1 p.m. Best hand will win $1,000 while the worst hand will snag $500, plus prize giveaways. Autos and motorcycles are welcome to compete.
A car show will take place next with competitors from all over vying for the $1,000 Cherokee Nation Best-in-Show and 20 other graded/ subjective awards.
There will be food, music and vendors onsite, including the Souter Limestone & Minerals Kidzone with 2 Xtreme inflatables, which will be set up from 2 to 5 p.m.
At the conclusion of the Riverside Equipment & Services Car Show, grab a spot on Main Street by 6 p.m. to watch the parade of cars. There will be no tire smoking allowed on Main Street but you can do so in the pit provided (if necessary).
Finally, enjoy the rest of the evening cruising, cranking tunes or relaxing while enjoying the small town charm of Gore.
