It was quite a week for the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors cross country team, and senior runner Cheyanne Herrier in particular.
The Lady Warriors ended the week with a fourth-place finish at last Saturday’s North Rock Creek Invitational near Shawnee. They scored 56 points.
Herrier made the top five as she was fifth with a time of 14:30.24. Peyton Shanks was 21st (20:14.85), Kailey Mannon was 22nd (20:17.35) and Emily Coatney was 24th (21:43.59).
On Sept. 10, the Lady Warriors went to the Inola Invitational, where Herrier made the top 15 with a 15th-place finish with a time of 14:36.11). Mannon was 96th in the same race with a time of 22:43.97.
Webbers Falls Warrior runner Joseph Moore was 27th (15:46.2) in the junior varsity boys’ race at the Inola Invitational, while Katie Frazier was 46th (21:19.74) and Coatney was 59th (25:15.21) in the JV girls’ race.
Skylar Powless was 49th (6:30.19) and Kacen Shamblin was 138th (7:51.31) in the junior high boys’ race.
The Webbers Falls runners will be in action this Saturday at the Carlton Landing Invitational near Lake Eufaula.
