LAKE EUFAULA — The Webbers Falls junior high and elementary school cross country runners competed at the Carlton Landing Invitational last Saturday.
For the Warriors, Skylar Powless won the meet, while Chase Kunkel placed fifth with a personal-best performance.
Two other Warriors made the top 10 and two more made the top 15. Kacen Shamblin was sixth, Keedan Shamblin was eighth, Roanyn Hunt was 11th and Mason Coatney was 12th.
On the girls’ side, all five Lady Warriors who ran made the top 10, led by Maddy Belknap’s runner-up finish thanks to a personal-best performance. Keylie Shamblin was fourth, Kaylie Shamblin was fifth, McKenzie McKaskle was seventh and Evie Ogg was eighth. Besides Belknap, both Shamblins also ran personal bests.
The high school runners ran with their families in the family run portion of the meet.
The Webbers Falls runners will be idle until Friday’s Claremore Invitational.
