Vian Lady Wolverines lose regular-season finale to Westville

The Vian Lady Wolverines lost their regular- season finale 6-2 to Westville on Sept. 23 at Armstrong Park.

The Lady Wolverines (11-15) will play in their Class 3A Regional Tournament this week at Prague, where Vian will meet Antlers in the opening round. The complete pairings and bracket for the regional were not available at press time.

The Lady Yellowjackets stung the Lady Wolverines with a pair of two-run innings in the second and fifth innings for a 4-0 lead. The Lady Wolverines cut the deficit in half with a tworun sixth inning but got no closer.

In defeat, Rayleigh Terrill doubled and scored once for Vian. Kala Gibbins (11-15) took the loss.
