SPIRO — The Central Lady Tigers junior high cross country team won the team title in the JH girls division, thanks in part to a 1-2-3-4 finish by champion Sara Williams, runner-up Sadie Huff, third-place finisher Emma Baggs and fourth-place finisher Graye Riggs.
As for other Lady Tigers, Olivia Black was 10th, Shelby Jones was 16th and Sailor Bauer was 17th.
In the high school girls’ meet, Central’s Cambree Bair made the top five as she was fifth (14:14.64), but two more Lady Tigers made the top 20 — Scarlett Harrison was 13th (16:01.72) and Xhayla Mosby was 17th (16:56.7). Rilegh Ford was 24th (17:52.28), Jacilynn Young was 32nd (19:40.37) and Gracie Thompson was 34th (20:56.82).
The Central, Gore and Webbers Falls runners were slated to end the regular season by running in the Checotah Crossroads Classic, which was slated to take place Tuesday.
