Robert Charles “Chuck” Cotner, 71, of Sallisaw, died on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, in Sallisaw. He was born on Jan. 17, 1953, in Oklahoma City to Artis William “A.W.” Cotner and Glenna Mae (Eaton) Cotner.

No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

He was a concrete finisher and a U.S. Army Reservist.

He married Debbie Nix on Nov. 19, 1976, in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Cotner of the home; one daughter, Jeanna M. Cox of Sallisaw; one son, Nathan J. Cotner of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Beth Cunningham of Chickasha; one brother, John Cotner of Oklahoma City; one grandchild; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Linda Richmond; and two brothers, Cecil R. Cotner and Richard Cotner.
