Carl Albert State College (CASC) is excited to announce an increase in student enrollment for the 2024 academic year, marking a milestone in the college’s commitment to educational excellence. Overall enrollment is up from fall of 2023, with an impressive 18 percent surge in concurrent students, reflecting the growing recognition of the value CASC provides to students at every stage of their educational journey, including high school juniors and seniors.
“We are thrilled to see such strong growth, particularly in our concurrent enrollment program,” Dr. Jay Falkner, President of Carl Albert State College, said. “Our summer enrollment was up compared to summer of 2023, and the 18 percent increase in concurrent enrollment shows that more high school students are choosing CASC as the best place to begin their higher education, and we are proud to support them as they take these important first steps.”
In addition to the surge in concurrent enrollment, CASC’s Sallisaw campus is bustling with activity, reaching levels of engagement not seen since before the COVID-19 pandemic. This revitalization is a testament to the dedication of the faculty, staff, and community in creating a welcoming and dynamic environment for all students.
“We are so excited to see the Sallisaw campus return to its pre-pandemic energy,” Jaime Henson, Director of the Sallisaw Campus, said. “Our students are the heartbeat of this campus, and it’s wonderful to have them back in full force, contributing to the vibrant academic and social life that makes CASC special.”
