COPAN — It was a rough evening of football last Friday night for the Webbers Falls Warriors as they lost 41-12 to the host Copan Hornets in a District BII-4 game.
The Warriors (4-4 overall, 1-2 in district play) got a touchdown apiece from Brutus Robinson and Aiden Turley, but missed both conversion attempts.
The Warriors, who are currently in a three-way tie for third place with the Arkoma Mustangs (5-3, 1-2) and the Wesleyan Christian Mustangs (1-7, 1-2) — who stunned Arkoma 38-8 last Friday night.
Webbers Falls will visit Arkoma for a 7 p.m. district game next Friday night at Arkoma’s Mustang Field, while Wesleyan Christian will visit Gans at 7 p.m. next Friday with both games having an impact on the playoff picture as far as the district is concerned.
