Tribe presents $25,000 to fairgrounds for new roof

Cherokee National District 5 Tribal Councilor E.O. “Jr.” Smith (center) presented a $25,000 donation from the Cherokee Nation to the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds on Tuesday afternoon, which will be used for a new roof. Those attending the presentation were (from left) Jim Pat O’Bryan, Roger Stites, Smith, Max Smith, and Lyndon Emberton.
