Betty Strider, 83, of Sallisaw, died on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, in Sallisaw. She was born on Aug. 25, 1941, in Keiser, Ark., to Harry Doc Baker and Ruby Jane (Lucy) Lowe.
No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
She was a manager of the fabric section of Walmart. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include four daughters, Jackie Farrington of Louisiana, Mikey Rose of Florida, Tammy Lynn of Colorado, and Sandra Arwood of Sallisaw; two sons, Jimmy and Tonya Strider of New Mexico and Shannon Strider of Oregon; one sister, Margie Whisenant of Holiday, Texas; five brothers, Ronnie and Debbie Lowe and Randy and DeLaine Lowe, all of Sallisaw, and Bob, Jimmy and Geary Baker, all of Arizona; three grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Leon Strider; two sisters, Connie Baker and Carol Church; and two brothers, Lynn and Kim Lowe.
