Psalms 76:7 “Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?”
Many in todays world deny the existence of God and the Savior Jesus Christ. They make up fanciful tales about evolving from a stagnant pool of water that had all the various
Michael Martin components of our body in all the right amounts in order to form the first form of life.
I he human body naturally requires 102 different vitamins and minerals. The five major ones are calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and magnesium.
The Bible is quite clear about one thing. You can chose to disbelieve in God if you chose, but He still exists. 2Timothy 2:13 “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.”
And if He exists then the Bible tells us what makes Him angry. Psalms 7:11 “God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.”
Ok, what is ‘the wicked’ that He is angry with? Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines it as: Evil in principle or practice; deviating from the divine law; addicted to vice; sinful; immoral. This is a word of comprehensive signification, extending to every thing that is contrary to the moral law, and both to persons and actions. We say, a wicked man, a wicked deed, wicked ways, wicked lives, a wicked heart, wicked designs, wicked works.
Do you want a list of wickedness? Let me give you the short list from Romans 1. Romans 1:26-32 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Today, I will not take the time to define all those words used in scripture, but know this.. .they are all wicked and wickedness makes God angry!
Shall I give you an example of God’s wrath? Wrath is anger in motion. For the sake of space I will only show you three of the seven vials of God’s Wrath being poured out on the earth. Revelation 16:1-4 “And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.”
You have heard the saying “When mama ain’t happy; ain’t nobody happy’? Well, when God ain’t happy’; ain’t nobody happy!
Let me add this scripture onto the list of things that make God angry. Religion makes God angry. Religion is a man made method of worshipping God. It has pomp and ceremony and seems to glorify all the wrong things about God. This religion worships God, and saints that all have special powers to help you in this life, or so they say. Paul wrote this to Titus.Titus 1:16 “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.”
It is simply to see why God hates Religions like this for the very first commandment tells us that there is one God and Him only shall we worship. Not saints, not angels, not things of this earth made of wood, stone, or plaster.
Psalms 7:11 “God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.”
If this is true (and it is) then who shall stand before God to make excuse on the Judgment Day. Answer: No One.
