The Vian Police Department reported that some of Vian’s Christmas decorations on display in the downtown Anna Bell Farmer Park were vandalized and damaged last week.
“Without posting a bunch of photos to give the culprit or culprits credit for their work, the downtown Christmas display was vandalized and damaged,” Vian Police Chief Mark Harkins said. “Town workers spent a large part of the day repairing what they could to get things in working order for the Downtown in December event.
“In a town so full of pride, we are certain someone knows something about this and while we are doing our due diligence to review camera footage and identify suspects, any assistance with identifying the ones who need to be held responsible will be greatly appreciated.”
Hawkins said anyone with any information can contact authorities anonymously be sending a private message to the department’s Facebook page, or by calling or texting 918-7732535.
