Funeral services for Garvin Wesley Richardson, 70, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories. A committal service followed at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services, Inc., Sallisaw.

Mr. Richardson was born on March 2, 1954 in Sallisaw, to John Elmer Richardson and Cora Ann Richardson (Petree). He died on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024 in Sallisaw.

He worked for over 40 years as a Kiln operator at St. Clair Lime plant. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his many pets, and taking care of his cattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thermon and Bill Richardson; and sisters, Matilda Walls, Versie Jackson and Bertha Richardson.

Pallbearers were Brayden Price, Trevor Price, Jeff Price, Derek Miller, Skylar Oren and Kenny Oren.

Honorary pallbearers were Donny Jackson, Michael Walls, Johnny Winkler and his St. Clair lime plant co-workers.
