Celebration of Life service for Ruth K. Downs Berry Wildin, 92, was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 at Lake Road Church of Christ in Gore with Curtis Hartshorn officiating. Her ashes will be spread following the service.

Mrs. Wildin was born on April 11, 1932 to Gilbert Swing Downs and Harriet Mae (Finch) Downs. She died on Dec. 3, 2024.

She was known as Granny Bat and collected owls and stuffed animals. She enjoyed watching General Hospital.

Survivors are a son, George R. Berry III and wife Cindy of Millville, N.J.; two daughters, Sandra Mc-Farland and husband James (Mike) of Vian, and Lisa Brown and husband Jerry of Springdale, Ark.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Wildin; sister, Katherine Down Adams; brother, Gilbert Swing Downs; grandson, James D. Hyson Jr.; and two daughters, Bea Hyson and Penny Moyer.
