Vian Wolverines football player Nathen Cheater was one of 60 players selected to play in the 2025 Native American All-Star Game on Jan. 7 at The Star in Frisco (Texas).
During the event, Cheater will be coached by former National Football League players and coaches. There will be recruiters from many colleges and pro-fessional organizations to watch the game.
The event culminating with the Jan. 7 game will give Cheater an opportunity to improve his football skills and to meet with real recruiters.
The Wolverines went 13-1 this past season and were the Class 2A, Division II state runners-up after losing the state title game 28-18 to Davis on Dec. 7 at the University of Central Oklahoma’s Chad Richison Stadium in Edmond.
