Architects of Destruction

Architects of Destruction
By Pastor

John 1:10 “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.”

Christmas has been a favorite holiday for countless years, but in its inception, it was to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ the Savior. But things are notably different in our world

Michael Martin today. Especially when it comes to Christmas; and specifically when it comes to Christ. The political/so-climate of our world is increas-hostile to anything Christian, and much is being done to exclude Christ from all public forums. The terms “Happy Holidays, or enjoy Xmas” are an attempt to exclude the very person the holiday is to celebrate. It disturbs me to see the huge push of gift-giving of random objects to try and surprise or please the loved one.

In the 4th century, the Christian church adopted December 25th as the official date of Christmas to coincide with these pagan celebrations. The church chose this date to attract non-Christian followers. In the Middle Ages, Christmas celebrations included attending church. Historians believe the first Christmas in the U.S. was celebrated in 1539 in Anhaica, an Indigenous village now known as Tallahassee, Florida.

I pulled all these facts off the Internet and I cannot validate them, but I do know something that is obvious to any who look.. .someone doesn’t want Christmas to be centered around Christ and the Church. There are Architects of Destruction that want to eliminate all mention of Christ and focus only on gift giving.

These Architects are shown to us in Scripture. 2Peter 2:1-2 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”

These Architects are still in the World today, poking, prodding, pushing their Godless theology, lifting up their damnable heresies of Evolution, outright lies about the Word of God, accusations about the Church and people who believe in a Savior named Jesus.

These people have their conscience seared so they do not recognize the truth.

ITimothy 4:1-2 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” I believe we are in those latter times and last days. People who used to put up a manger scene, not put up candy canes or Santa Claus or reindeer or anyone of a hundred things being sold on todays market. They are bright and festive. They are designed to catch the eye especially of children. The stories of Santa Claus, the foolishness of flying reindeer, the insane gift giving, the crazy thoughts about the Christmas story all has an Architect, one who wants to eliminate every reference to Christ in the World at any time, not just Christmas.

John 1:10 “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.”

Ask yourself, who wants to eliminate Christ? Who wants to remove Christ from Christmas? Who wants to remove all mention of the Gospel and Salvation, and Eternal life?

An Architect draws up plans for those who build or destroy. There is a story about Ted Mosby from years past. While a professor, Ted also restarted the project with GNB, but not without a preservation battle due to the banks plans to tear down the Arcadian, a historic hotel. The bank headquarters gets built, landing Ted, 33, on the cover of New York Magazine as the youngest architect to design a skyscraper in New York City.

But what the article does not say is Ted was the Architect of Destruction and had little to do with the planning of the new building. As always, the world lauded his great accomplishment. Others mourned the loss of an iconic old hotel, but these had no loud impressive voice among the people. They tried to preserve it and battled in court, yet lost to progress and the economy. A knew bank is much more useful than an old hotel, the court ruled. We still have those battles today, but I am not concerned about buildings. I am concerned about Prayer in Schools, the Bible in schools, the Christian teachers in schools, the truth of Creation in schools. All have been fought through the courts.

This an admonition for todays Church… ITimothy 4:6-7 “If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.”

Don’t be a tool of the devil this holiday season or any holiday season. Eliminate the profane and old wives’ tales. Get rid of the stuff that takes away from Christ in all holidays! Romans 1:25 “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”

What creature you ask? Romans 1:23 “And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man (Christmas), and to birds (Thanksgiving), and fourfooted beasts (Easter), and creeping things (Halloween).”

All this is written by a man who loves Christmas. The people are more kind, and open to speaking to strangers or letting strangers talk to them. Tell your children and great grandchildren stories of when you were a little girl or boy. Center your thoughts for them around the babe in the manger and what that actually means. Put Christ back in Christmas!
