Funeral service for Edna Joan Folks, 81, of Panama, was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Services, Sallisaw. Burial was at Sallisaw City Cemetery under there direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services, Sallisaw.

Mrs. Folks was born on Dec. 30, 1942 in Fort Smith, Ark. to Wilburn Luther Boston and Doris Edna (Floyd) Boston. She died on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, in Sallisaw.

She was a nurse’s aide in the healthcare industry. She loved flowers, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors are her husband, Randy; children, Tiffany R. Harrell, and Jimmy N. Carson and wife Jackie, all of Sallisaw; brothers, Luther N. Boston and wife Mari Anne of Colorado; several grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandchild.

Pallbearers were Tyler Harrell, Justin Carson, Joshua Wilson, Gage Carson, Jimmy Ray Carson and Jason Carson. The honorary pallbearer is Ray Gipson.
