Vian Wrestling Club members have successful outings at Viking Tournament

POTEAU — Several Vian Wrestling Club members did well in last Saturday’s Viking Tournament.

Knox Branham, who was named one of the Outstanding Wrestlers, was the champion at 55 pounds in the age 6-andyounger division as he got six wins by pinfall.

Charles Lucas (106111 pounds, age 15-andyounger division), Cain Winans (96-100, age 12-and-younger division), Thomas Sandlin (58, age 8-and-younger division), Luke Sandlin (55, age 8-and-younger division), Nolan Thomas (58, age 8-and-younger novice division), Josh Constant (70, age 10-andyounger novice division) and Joely Hunt (85-91, girls age 12-and-younger division) also won titles.

Several members won multiple titles. James Constant was the champion at 90 pounds and runner- up at 83-90 pounds in the age 8-and-younger novice division.

Josie Constant was the champ at 140 pounds and was second at 125-140 pounds in the girls age 12-and-younger.

Maddison “Maddie” Turman took the gold at 88 pounds and was third at 82-88 pounds in the girls age 10-and-younger division.

Rocky Ford got the gold medal at 105 pounds and was third at 105110 pounds in the age 12-and-younger division.

Kainen Hunter was the champion at 43 pounds and was second at 43-46 pounds in the age 6-andyounger division.

Creede Prier was the champ at 85 pounds and was fourth at 8085 pounds in the age 10-and-younger division.

Daxton Stewart was runner-up at 80 pounds and 80-85 pounds in the age 10-and-younger.

Gage Hines was runner- up at 88 pounds and was fourth at 8-92 pounds in the age 12-and-younger division.

Anders Gilbreath was second at 64 pounds and was third at 61-67 pounds in the age 10-and-younger division.

Some brackets only had a couple of kids, so they combined weights to make a good bracket, according to the organization.

Klasen Couch was second at 60 pounds in the age 6-and-younger division, while Jestin Rosson was runner-up at 70 pounds in the age 12-and-younger division Harlea Lucas (67 pounds, girls age 10-and-younger division) and Reid Locust (85, age 10-and-younger division) were third, while Cale Winans was fourth at 84 pounds in the age 12-and-younger division.
