Jesus Said – Hear My Word and Believe
By Shirley R. Watts

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life”…

Unbeliever

Have you stopped long enough to see where you are standing before God and where you will be standing in death?

Too many people move along in daily life giving little thought about God the Father, His Son, Eternal life or The Judgment, but are focused on what they can have and where they can go here on Earth. Death is not the end!

When Adam disobeyed God, all mankind died spiritually and would be separated from God forever unless the sin was paid for. That is why God sent His Son into this world to live and die, shedding His blood and was raised from the dead. God is pleased with the perfect Sacrifice. Sin has been paid for, but only those who have believed His word can truly experience salvation. Unless you believe, you are condemned! (John 3:121).

Personal

Unbelievers are all who are rejecting what God had done through His Son. Come sit with me as we listen to what Jesus says to each person. Yes, He speaks to the heart of every person. You must listen with the ear and let it go to the heart. Picture this in your mind right now as you allow Jesus to teach you.

He speaks to you personally. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” Read this again and hear key words; “I say, My Word, Believes, everlasting life, judgment and death into life.”This is a personal invitation from Christ to you.

Jesus begins with “Most assuredly, I say unto you.” He is saying to you that what He is about to say is very important, telling all unbelievers to listen up. He follows with “he who hears My word.” Remember Jesus is speaking directly to you as an unbeliever. He is talking about what He has taught about the Father and the words of salvation. It is about His Life, Death and Resurrection from the dead. How He came from Heaven, read John 1-3.

Decision

When God speaks to you, the Holy Spirit of God brings to your attention God’s Word concerning your personal sin of rejecting His Son and your opportunity for Salvation. You have just heard Jesus say, “He who hears My word,” now what will you do. You will reject His Word or you will receive it as truth, repent and place faith in Him. Right now, what are you thinking? Are you listening? What will you do? At this point Jesus looks at you with love, you must make a decision. Many have ignored Him and have decided to remain condemned.

Now continue to look at Jesus as He speaks to you, “he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me.” He says you have heard His word, now do you believe in God the Father who sent Him to Earth. Do you? You must first “hear” His word and then “believe” in God who sent Jesus here if you are to inherit “everlasting life.” How many times have you heard and turned a deaf ear, rejecting Him?

Jesus says that if you believe “in Him who sent Me” you will have “everlasting life.” What is “everlasting life?” It is being forever with God the Father and His Son. You never come under the Judgment. It means you have been forgiven.

It means that when you heard His Word you believed in Him. You are no longer condemned!!! You can never die spiritually again! You “shall not come into judgment, but you have “passed from death into life.” This is where we all praise God, giving thanks for life.. .and not death.

Unbeliever, are you listening to Jesus?

You can pass from being dead into life!

You must be born again! How is your heart now?

Is “everlasting life” in your plans? How about the Judgment?

Jesus loves you!
