A Vian man has been reported as missing by family members.
Ryan Jordan, a U.S. Navy veteran, has been missing since January 6 and his family said they have desperately been trying to locate him.
Jordan was last seen in the Blackgum area, north of Vian. His car and phone were both found at his home and according to reports, he was supposed to have been walking to his mother’s nearby residence.
His mother, Rhonda Thompson, said it’s not like her son to disappear with no contact or his medication.
“He is insulin dependent. If you see or hear from him, please contact us,” she said.
Jordan’s brother, Michael Jordan, also pled for the safe return of his brother.
“Any info at all is appreciated,” he said. “Even if you might have saw him at a gas station, or passed him going down the highway. We need to know about it.”
Sequoyah County Sheriff Larry Lane said they do not expect foul play in Jordan’s disappearance and deputies were out looking for him on Monday.
“The family called us on Thursday to report him missing, right about the time the snow hit,” Lane said. “We are still searching for Ryan, so if anyone knows his whereabouts or has seen him, please call the Sheriff ’s Office.”
