Nov. 8, 1958 – Dec. 22, 2024

Celebration of Life Service for Dana Slate, 66, of Sallisaw, was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at People Inc. Conference Center in Sallisaw. Cremation was under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Slate was born on Nov. 8, 1958, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Jesse Kenneth Hood and Darlis June (Lowe) Walters. She died on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2024, in Tulsa.

She was a retired bookkeeper for National Bank of Sallisaw.

Survivors include two daughters, Stefanie and Joseph Holmes of Muldrow and Chrissy Lankford of Sallisaw; one brother, Kenneth and Bobbi Hood of Sallisaw; one sister, Deana Philpot of Sallisaw; eight grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
