Two Vian Wolverines wrestlers placed at last weekend’s 64th annual Paul Post Classic, which took place Friday and Saturday at Sallisaw High School’s Paul Post Field House.
Vian heavyweight Garritt Hunt was runner-up, while 138-pound wrestler Adoff Stahl was seventh.
The other wrestling action last week for the Wolverines took place in the District 3A-6 Duals, which happened Thursday at Tulsa Cascia Hall High School.
The Wolverines suffered losses to the host Commandos (48-28), to Warner (54-27) and to Oklahoma Christian School (59-12) to drop their overall dual record to 2-4 on the season. There was no more information reported on the District Duals by press time.
The Wolverines were slated to take part in the Hilldale High School Quadrangular on Tuesday before taking part in the two-day Maverick Conference Tournament, which will be this Friday and Saturday in Stilwell.
The four Lady Wolverines wrestlers will participate in their 2025 Maverick Conference Tournament this Friday and Saturday at Poteau High School’s Sherman Floyd Fieldhouse.
